Pastor Waymon L. Monroe Jr. is a native of Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He was born to Waymon L. Monroe Sr. and the late DeLisa Satterfield on December 22, 1970. He is married to the love of his life and best friend. The former Leola Carruthers and together they are blessed with three children, Antonio, Miosha, and Alexis.
Pastor Monroe completed his former educational training in the Winston-Salem Forsyth County Public Schools, and is a graduate of North Forsyth Senior High School. He later served in the United States Army Reserve and was honorably discharged in 1997. Pastor Monroe is currently continuing his studies at High Point University pursuing a B.A. Degree in Business Administration.
Pastor Monroe acknowledged his call to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ in 2001. Pastor Monroe was licensed by Dr. Charles Edward Gray at Mt. Olive Baptist Church of Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He was ordained in July 2005 by the Winston Salem & Vicinity Conference. Pastor Monroe is a member of the General Baptist State Convention and the High Point Association.
In December 2007 Pastor Monroe was called by God to be the Under Sheppard of Solid Rock Missionary Baptist church in the beautiful city of Winston Salem North Carolina.

Pastor Monroe and the anointed leadership team, ministers to the needs of the congregation. Pastor Monroe and his wife, Lady Leola Monroe, are an anointed duo that God is using to make a change in the lives of people.
His vision is uncompromisingly clear, with one central principle; to build and develop a kingdom of empowered people for God. Holding firmly to the commissioned mandate in Matthew 28:18-20, “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations”,
He brings biblical wisdom, compassion, and integrity to the membership of Solid Rock, He has a contagious spirit of generosity that flows through every facet of his ministry. Having received his mandate from God, Pastor Monroe obediently fulfills his calling as Senior Pastor.
Along with spreading the gospel, Pastor Monroe is employed with Rock Tenn. Merchandising Display as an invoice analyst.
Under the pastoral ship of Pastor Monroe and the guidance of the Holy Spirit the Solid Rock family has experienced new growth and dedication to the cause of Christ.
Ministries that have been birth under the guidance of Pastor Monroe are a Christian Growth Class, Prison and Evangelism Ministry, Special Events Ministry, Tape Ministry, New Members Fellowship, Advisory Team, Wednesday nights break through, Solid Rock steppers and Genesis Dance Troupe.
And on June 1, 2010, under the leadership of pastor Monroe and obedience of the Holy Spirit, Solid Rock Missionary Baptist Church was paid in FULL... To God be the glory..
